25 Neoconservative Intellectuals

The war in Iraq was conceived by 25 neoconservative intellectuals, most of them Jewish, who are pushing President Bush to change the course of history. Two of them, journalists William Kristol and Charles Krauthammer, say it's possible. But another journalist, Thomas Friedman (not part of the group), is skeptical.

Endless War - Intervention - $ocial in$ecurity

If the administration truly wants to give people more control over their retirement dollars, why not simply reduce payroll taxes and let them keep their own money to invest privately as they see fit? This is the true private solution.

Your money has never been safe in the government’s hands, and it never will be. Governments spend money; it’s just their nature. It is preposterous to believe our government is capable of simply sitting on a huge pile of money without touching it because it’s earmarked for one purpose or another. No matter what politicians promise, Social Security reform will not change the fact that your money is taken from your paycheck and sent to Washington, where it will be spent. -Ron Paul
Want to Reform Social Security? Stop Spending.

HON. RON PAUL OF TEXAS-What If (It was all a Big Mistake)?
Policing the world, spreading democracy by force, nation building, and frequent bombing of countries that pose no threat to us-- while leaving the homeland and our borders unprotected-- result from a foreign policy that is contradictory and not in our self interest.

In declaring it to be America's mission in the world to end tyranny on earth, President Bush is launching a crusade even more ambitious and utopian than was Wilson's. His crusade, too, will end, as Wilson's did, in disillusionment for him and tragedy for his country. -Patrick J. Buchanan

700 Seabirds Killed by Oil Coast of SoCal

Mystery Oil Slick Kills Seabirds Off California
Los Angeles - A phantom oil slick floating somewhere along a 90-mile stretch of Southern California coastline is killing sea life as investigators scramble to find its whereabouts and origins.

What Could Go Wrong in 2005?
Such threats would include: a persistent and increasing resort to debt-financed growth and a concomitant, growing imbalance in the trade deficit, leading the U.S. ever further into financial dependency and so leaving it dangerously indebted to rival nations, which could (at least theoretically) pull the plug at any time.

We've given up on security and democracy. Could you please at least turn on the water?

In 1989, Lipsky led an FBI raid on the Rocky Flats nuclear-weapons plant in Colorado after receiving reports that the plant posed a huge public-health threat.

The Voice of the White House January 21, 2005
The danger is that if the Central Banks of Russia, China, Japan, and other nations, should see the U.S. Government repudiate their obligations to their own old folks, in order to manufacture a Social Security "crisis" merely in order that George Bush can have a sweet retirement, they might ask themselves, what is to prevent the U.S.

Analysis of Ruppert's recent split personality on 9-11: "just forget about it, move on."
In his event at the University of Washington, Mike Ruppert casually dismisses - as "no longer of any value," the whole of the argument for prosecuting those responsible for nine-eleven.

Hey Ruppert: 9-11 is NOT Dead!
With an ego so overblown it defies description (or possibly an indication of something even more sinister), Mike Ruppert – and Mike Ruppert alone – has declared that 9-11 is now a dead issue.
